SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Kuwait’s EQUATE announced on Monday that it has restarted its 550,000 tonne/year ethylene glycol (EG) unit in Shuaiba after more than three months of shutdown.

“EQUATE successfully restarted the unit at an earlier date than the previously announced mid-November target,” the company said in a statement, without stating the exact date when the plant resumed operations.

EQUATE is a joint venture between Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC), the Dow Chemical Company, Boubyan Petrochemical Company (BPC) and Qurain Petrochemical Industries Company (QPIC).
