LONDON (ICIS)--Kuwait Petroleum’s planned restart of its base oil unit in the Netherlands has been delayed by technical problems, a company source said on Monday.
The company had originally planned to restart the 235,000 tonne/year Rotterdam unit on 28 October after planned maintenance work.
However, unspecified technical issues led to the restart being pushed back to this coming weekend, 10-11 November.
The company source said that it was supplying all of its customers as agreed, despite being tight on certain base oil grades.
However, it was not active in the spot market.
The unit went down on 28 September.
