MELBOURNE (ICIS)--US-based acetyls producer Celanese has reduced its November price for ethyl acetate (etac) by $20/tonne from October, regional buyers said on Tuesday.

The producer’s benchmark Singapore ex-tank price for etac is at $1,000/tonne ex-tank in November, down from $1,020/tonne ex-tank in October, the buyers said.

For butyl acetate (butac), Celanese’s November price at $1,320/tonne ex-tank is at a rollover from October, the buyers added.

Celanese’s plant in Singapore has a combined etac/butac capacity of 100,000 tonnes/year.
