SINGAPORE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>South Korea’s Honam Petrochemical expects to restart its 50,000 tonne/year ethanolamines plant at Jiaxing in Zhejiang province on 14 November after a brief shutdown that started on 30-31 October, a company source said on Tuesday.
The shutdown was aimed to adjust operational parameters in a bid to improve triethanolamine (TEA) standards, the source said.
TEA users have flagged that Honam’s TEA is of dark colour and low purity since the plant started up in late September, major traders said. By: Becky Zhang+65 6780 4359
