SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Hebi Coal Group has shut its 50,000 tonne/year butanediol (BDO) unit at Hebi city in central Henan province for one week of maintenance in line with a shutdown at its upstream methanol unit, a company source said on Tuesday.

The company has to shut the BDO unit on 5 November as there is not enough feedstock for it, the source said.

There is little impact caused by the BDO shutdown as the company still has enough inventory for its customers, the source added.

Hebi Coal Group is a subsidiary of Henan Coal Chemical Group.
