The plant’s operating rate was reduced to 50% capacity on 29 October because of a mechanical issue at the plant’s boiler.
The plant, which has a phenol capacity of 200,000 tonnes/year and an acetone capacity of 120,000 tonnes/year, was restarted on 11 October after being taken off line on 10 October following a fire.
