SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s Formosa Plastics Corp (FPC) plans to ramp up the operating rate of its 30,000 tonne/year crude acrylic acid (AA) No 2 line at Kaohsiung to full capacity as soon as possible, a company source said on Wednesday.

The company restarted the line on 1 November after shutting it in early October for maintenance and a catalyst change, he said.

“Currently, spot cargoes offers to the southeast Asia region are limited, as majority of inventories are allocated to the Japanese market,” the source added.
