SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical plans to restart its 100,000 tonne/year low density polyethylene (LDPE) unit in Shanghai on 17 November and its two 100,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) units on 10 November, a company source said on Wednesday.

The company shut its LDPE unit on 16 October and its two polypropylene (PP) units on 25 October for regular maintenance, the source added.

Local distributors said the supply of LDPE and PP to east China may increase with the restart of the plants as Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical is one of the major producers in east China.
