CAMPINAS, Brazil (ICIS)--US-based specialty chemicals producer Ashland plans to expand its thermoset resins unit at its Aracariguama site in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo, the company said on Wednesday.
Ashland plans to expand production capacity by up to 25%, the company said.
“By doing this, we show once more Brazil is a country of priority investments for Ashland,” said Jose Armando Aguirre, who was appointed commercial director of performance materials in South America.
Ashland produces polyester resins and vinyl-ester resins at the site. The company did not disclose the plant's annual production capacity.
