SINGAPORE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>Taiwan’s Formosa Petrochemical Corp (FPCC) has settled its October butadiene (BD) contract price at $1,768/tonne, down by $60/tonne from the previous month, a company source said.
The producer’s September BD contract price was settled at $1,828/tonne pipeline delivered (DEL).
Spot prices of BD fell in October, because of oversupply and weak demand in the market.
BD spot prices were at $1,700-1,750/tonne CFR (cost and freight) northeast (NE) Asia in the week ended 2 November, down by around $200/tonne since early October, according to ICIS data.
