SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Shanghai Golden Phillips Petrochemical plans to shut its 135,000 tonne/year high density polyethylene (HDPE) plant at Jinshan in Shanghai on 13 or 14 November for maintenance, a company source said on Thursday.

The turnaround will last for about 20 days, the source added.

Local distributors said Golden Phillips’ plant shutdown will not affect the Chinese domestic HDPE market, as the plant’s capacity is limited.
