SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Qinghai Damei Coal Industry Co will be using Dow Chemical’s Unipol polypropylene (PP) process technology at its 400,000 tonne/year plant, the US chemical major said late on Thursday.
Qinghai Damei has signed a deal with Dow subsidiary Union Carbide Chemicals & Plastics Technology on the use of the technology in late September, Dow said.
The Chinese firm’s PP plant, which is located in the Xining Economic and Technological Development Zone in Qinghai province, is expected to start up in 2015. The plant will produce homopolymers, random copolymers and impact copolymers, Dow Chemical said.
