SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Chinese firm Shenzhen Gas plans to conduct trial runs at its 300,000 cubic metre (cbm)/day gas liquefaction plant at Xuancheng in Anhui province, in December, a company source said on Friday.

Natural gas processed at the plant will be supplied by Sinopec’s Puguang gas field located in southwest China, the source explained.

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) output will be mainly distributed to markets in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces in east China, added the source.

The company is also building a separate 300,000cbm/day liquefaction project at Ordos in Inner Mongolia autonomous region with Beijing Gas, China’s largest city gas company, the source said.

The Ordos project is expected to come on stream in early 2013, the source went on to add.

Shanghai-listed Shenzhen Gas is largely engaged in the supply of city piped gas, wholesaling and retailing of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and gas investment.
