NOON SNAPSHOT – Europe Markets Summary

LONDON (ICIS)--Here is Monday’s midday European oil and chemical market summary from ICIS.

CRUDE: December WTI: $85.83/bbl, down 24 cents/bbl. December BRENT: $109.07/bbl, down 33 cents/bbl
Futures continued to trade in negative territory on ongoing concerns over the US budget and eurozone debt issues. 

NAPHTHA: $948-950/tonne, up $16/tonne
Assessed values eased moved up on the back of firmer crude oil prices. December swaps were assessed at $928-930/tonne.

BENZENE: $1,350-1,375/tonne, up $20-25/tonne
November opened higher this morning, the market rebounding from last week’s close as a bullish sentiment still prevailed.

STYRENE: $1,480-1,520/tonne, steady
The market was thin this morning with many players en route to the ICIS Aromatics conference in Berlin, Germany. The range for November was unchanged so far from last week’s close. December was valued at $1,300-1,330/tonne.
