LONDON (ICIS)--Average European daily chlorine production in October fell by 6.7% from September, while stocks of co-product caustic soda fell by 12.9% in the same period, according to industry body Euro Chlor on Tuesday.

Caustic soda stocks decreased to 222,616 tonnes, compared with 255,458 tonnes in September.
Euro Chlor’s year-on-year figures showed that average daily chlorine production in October was 3.1% lower than the year before, while caustic soda stocks were down by 19,666 tonnes.
Chlorine capacity utilisation stood at 72.2% in October, down from 77.4% in September and 75.4% in October 2011.
