Xi Jinping introduces China's new CPC top leaders to the press

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--The new top leaders of the Communist Party of China (CPC) were introduced to the press on Thursday morning by general secretary elect Xi Jinping, according to the state-owned Xinhua news agency report.

Xi led the newly-elected committee to meet the press at the Great Hall of the People following the first plenary session of the 18th CPC central committee, according to the report.  

Xi was elected as general secretary of the 18th CPC Central Committee, the report said, and the other members of the newly-elected standing committee of the Political Bureau of the 18th CPC Central Committee are Li Keqiang, Zhang Dejiang, Yu Zhengsheng, Liu Yunshan, Wang Qishan and Zhang Gaoli.

"China needs to learn more from the world, and so does the world. Hope you continue to make effort and contributions on the improvement of understanding between China and the world." Xi said.
