Japan’s Polyplastics runs Fuji 100,000 tonne/year POM unit at 100%

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Polyplastics runs its 100,000 tonne/year polyacetal (POM) facility at Fuji in Japan at 100% after restarting it in early November, according to a company source on Thursday

The plant was shut for a month-long turnaround on 1 October, the source said.

Meanwhile, POM demand is largely subdued in Asia while supply is stable, according to market sources.

Northeast Asia POM export and China import prices were assessed as stable in the week ended 13 November at $1,480-1,530/tonne (€1,169-1,209/tonne) FOB (free on board) northeast (NE) Asia and $1,530-1,600/tonne CIF (cost, insurance & freight) China, according to ICIS data.
