SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Henkel reported a 29.3% year-on-year rise in third-quarter net income to €397m ($509m) on the back of higher sales, the German adhesives and soaps maker said on Friday.
Sales for the quarter grew by 6.6% to €4.29bn, with adjusted operating profit up by 16.7% to €631m, the company said in a statement.
In the first nine months of the year, Henkel’s net profit was up 21.8% year on year to €1.17bn, with sales rising 6.0% to €12.5bn.
Adjusted operating profit for January-September 2012 was up 17.3% to €1.79bn.
For the whole of 2012, Henkel expects organic sales to grow by 3-5%.
