SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Sinopec Shanghai Gaoqiao Co restarted its 120,000 tonne/year butadiene rubber (BR) plant on 16 November, a company source said on Monday.
The plant was shut down from 15 October to 16 November for a scheduled clean-up of butadiene (BD) storage tanks at the site, and the resulting shortage of feedstock BD requires the BR plant to be taken off line, the source added.
Sinopec Shanghai Gaoqiao is a major BR producer in east China.
