SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Inner Mongolia Tianye Chemical restarted its new 60,000 tonne/year polyoxymethylene (POM)/polyacetal plant at Huhhot in the first week of November and is currently running the unit at 100%, a company source said on Tuesday.

The unit was taken off line in October for maintenance, the source said without providing the exact duration of the shutdown.

Inner Mongolia Tianye Chemical is a subsidiary of Hong Kong-listed China BlueChemical, a major fertilizer producer in China.

POM is a thermoplastic used in the automotive, construction, electrical appliance and agricultural sectors.
