LONDON (ICIS)--A joint venture between Korean polymer additive producer Songwon Industrial and Chinese company Tangshan Baifu Chemical to produce thioester antioxidants has come onstream, Songwon said on Tuesday.
Known as Songwon Baifu Chemicals (Tangshan), the company commenced operations of a new plant on 1 July 2012, and has an annual capacity of 8,000 tonnes of thioester antioxidants, the company said. The facility is based in Tangshan, China, according to a company spokesperson.
At the time of the announcement of the joint venture in October 2010, Songwon said the joint venture will sell thioesters directly to the Chinese market and use its global network for sales outside the country.
