S Korea’s Honam buys 50,000 tonnes naphtha at $16/tonne premium

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s Honam Petrochemical has bought 50,000 tonnes of open-spec naphtha for delivery to Yeosu at a lower premium because of rising supply, traders said on Wednesday.

The deals for the two cargoes were done at a premium of around $16/tonne (€12/tonne) to Japan quotes CFR (cost & freight), they said.

In its previous spot purchase, Honam bought 75,000 tonnes of open-spec naphtha for delivery to Yeosu and Daesan, at a premium of around $22/tonne to Japan quotes CFR basis.
