HOUSTON (ICIS)--Stockpiles of US jet fuel rose for the week ended 16 November as consumption fell, a government agency’s report showed on Thursday.

Jet fuel inventories moved 100,000 bbl higher to 42.5m bbl, according to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA).

Higher consumption rates contributed to the drawdown in stockpiles. For the week ended 16 November, jet fuel consumption was at 1.267m bbl/day, down from the previous week’s rate of 1.456m bbl/day.

Production of US jet fuel increased to 1.372m bbl/day for the week ended 16 November. The prior week’s production rate was 1.354m bbl/day.
