SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s Mitsui Chemicals has postponed restart of its 90,000 tonne/year bisphenol A (BPA) plant at Chiba to 14 December because of poor margins and high feedstock, a company official said on Thursday.
The plant was initially scheduled for annual maintenance from 17 October to 29 November, the official said.
The company’s 65,000 tonne/year BPA plant at Osaka has been operating at 55% capacity since mid-November, the official added.
