SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s Yeochun NCC (YNCC) has no plans to conduct maintenance works at all of its three naphtha crackers at Yeosu next year, a company official said on Friday.
“There will be no cracker turnarounds next year,” he said.
All three crackers are currently operating at 100% capacity, the official added.
Meanwhile, YNCC has not been buying open-spec naphtha supply from the spot market, he said.
Separately, YNCC is considering reducing the operating rates at all three naphtha crackers by a minimum of 10% in December because of poor derivative polyethylene (PE) margins, another company official said on 19 November.
The company's three crackers at the site have ethylene capacities of 857,000 tonnes/year; 578,000 tonnes/year, and; 465,000 tonnes/year.
