SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s Formosa Plastics Corp (FPC) had shut its 250,000 tonne/year n-butnaol (NBA) plant in Mailiao in the earlier part of the week for its annual maintenance, a company source said on Friday.
The plant will undergo maintenance for at least a month, the source said.
The company’s NBA plant was running at almost full capacity ahead of the shutdown to build up inventories, the source added.
“During the period when the plant is shut, the company will have limited availability for the spot market, as we allocate mainly for domestic customers and captive usage,” the source said.
