China’s Tongkun Group to start up polyester lines at Huzhou in Dec

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Tongkun Group plans to start one of its new 200,000 tonne/year polyester lines at Huzhou in Zhejiang province on 10 December, a company source said on Monday.

The main product of this line is pre-oriented yarn (POY), the company source said.

The other new 200,000 tonne/year polyester line at the same site is expected to be started up in late December, the source added.

Tongkun Group has seven polyester lines at Jiaxing in Zhejiang province, with a combined capacity of 1.8m tonnes/year, according to data from Chemease, an ICIS service in China.
