HOUSTON (ICIS)--US propylene production in October totalled 934m lb (423,656 tonnes), an 11% increase from 842m lb produced in the same month in 2011, consulting firm Jacobs Consultancy said on Monday.
Propylene production in October by volume rose by 2.2% from 914m lb in September, but when measured on a daily rate output fell by 1.1% from the previous month, the group said in its monthly Hodson report.
US crackers operated at 90.7% of capacity in October, down from 94.7% in September but up from 88.1% in October 2011, the report showed.
