SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Sinopec Beijing Yanshan restarted its 30,000 tonne/year brominated isobutylene-isoprene copolymers (IIR) plant in Beijing on 26 November, a company source said on Tuesday.
“The plant is restarted on 26 November, with the output of brominated IIR 2032 to be expected in December,” the source said.
“The unit produced about 1000 tonnes of brominated IIR 2032 in August before its shutdown,” she added.
Sinopec Beijing Yanshan also has a 45,000 tonne/year IIR unit in Beijing. The unit was shut down in the previous week as the company prepared for brominated IIR 2032 production.
Sinopec Beijing Yanshan is a major IIR and brominated IIR producer in China.
