HOUSTON (ICIS)--Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) export offers to the rest of South America from Colombia for December rolled over from November, amid support from rising demand for January shipments, sources said on Thursday.
Export volumes are projected to increase in December because buyers throughout Latin America will need to restock in January following the year-end inventory draw-down, sources said.
December PVC export quotes stand at $1,020-1,030/tonne (€787-793/tonne) CFR South America except Brazil, unchanged from November offers.
In Colombia, December domestic prices of PVC are being talked at a rollover from November at $1,190/tonne DEL (delivered) for pipe grade and $1,210/tonne DEL for general purpose (GP). Confirmation is not expected until next week.
October PVC offers in the domestic market rose by $70/tonne from September to $1,260/tonne DEL for pipe grade and $1,280/tonne DEL for GP.
The domestic PVC producer in Colombia is Mexichem.
