SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China's Aekyung (Ningbo) Chemical has restarted its 150,000 tonnes/year dioctyl phthalate (DOP) unit at Ningbo in Zhejiang province on on 28 November, a source close to the company said on Friday.

The unit was taken off line on 21 November for scheduled maintenance, the source added.

The shutdown has not pushed up DOP prices in the domestic market because of weak downstream demand and the unit's operating rate was low before the shutdown, a trader said.

The output from the unit is at above 100 tonnes/day, the trader added.

China's Aekyung (Ningbo) Chemical is a key plasticiser producer at Ningbo in Zhejiang province.
