Three VCM tank cars derail in New Jersey − report

HOUSTON (ICIS)--Three tank cars derailed and fell into a creek near Paulsboro, New Jersey, leaking vinyl chloride monomer (VCM), according to a report published on Friday.

The cars derailed after a train bridge collapsed at about 07:00 hours Paulsboro time (12:00 GMT), according to a report published by the Gloucester County Times.

The line to the Paulsboro Police Department was busy. Calls to an official at Gloucester County and to Conrail were not immediately returned.

Conrail operates several rail lines in New Jersey.
