NEW YORK (ICIS)--US-based Dow Chemical chief executive Andrew Liveris expects the US petrochemical cycle to peak in 2015-2016, before most US cracker expansions come on line, he said on Monday.
“We see the cycle peaking in 2015-2016, before the logjam of crackers that come on line in 2017-2018,” said Dow CEO Andrew Liveris at a media event at Dow’s annual investor meeting.
“The permitting process will dictate the timing,” he added.
There are six cracker projects moving forward in the ?xml:namespace>
Liveris said there could be “some consolidation” among the cracker operators, as the projects move forward.
