LONDON (ICIS)--Altana is to acquire Chemical Corporation of America (ChemCor), a US-based manufacturer of wax emulsions and additives, the German specialty chemicals company said on Friday.
The business, which generates annual sales of $17m (€13m), will be integrated into Altana’s BYK USA subsidiary, the company said. A deal value was not disclosed.
“The product portfolio of ChemCor does not just open up the American market in the area of wax additives alone; for BYK, new market segments, such as wax additives for industrial applications, also become accessible,” said Christoph Schlunken, President Division BYK Additives & Instruments.
ChemCor’s headquarters and production facilities are located in Chester, New York.
