HOUSTON (ICIS)--Initial US November styrene contract settlements have emerged at rollovers to an increase of 3 cents/lb from the previous month, trade sources said on Friday.
The slight increase was in line with producer price increases of 6-7 cents/lb, which was based off the November record high feedstock benzene settlement.
Additional settlements are expected in the week ending 14 December.
The October styrene contract price was settled at 76-80 cents/lb FOB (free on board).
Suppliers also said during the week they would not issue any increases for December styrene contracts, despite the 3 cent/gal increase in the feedstock December benzene contract.
Upstream, benzene spot prices moved up during the week and remained above the $5.00/gal mark through Friday.
