HOUSTON (ICIS)--December domestic prices of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) in Colombia rolled over from November as had been projected because of balanced supply and demand, local sources said on Friday.
Pipe-grade PVC prices in Colombia for December stand at $1,190/tonne (€916/tonne) DEL (delivered), and for general purpose (GP) grade at $1,210/tonne DEL.
PVC domestic prices in October were higher at $1,260/tonne DEL for pipe grade and $1,280/tonne DEL for GP, a $70/tonne increase from September.
In the export market, December material is being quoted at $1,020-1,030/tonne CFR (cost & freight) South America except Brazil, unchanged from November, and at $1,100-1,120/tonne CFR Brazil, down by $30/tonne from November.
In October, PVC export prices were higher at $1,120-1,140/tonne CFR South America except Brazil and $1,160-1,180/tonne CFR Brazil. However, prices in July had been down at $980-1,000/tonne CFR South America except Brazil and $1,060-1,080/tonne CFR Brazil.
The domestic PVC producer in Colombia is Mexichem.
