NOON SNAPSHOT – Europe Markets Summary

LONDON (ICIS)--Here is Monday’s midday European oil and chemical market summary from ICIS.

CRUDE: January WTI: $86.42/bbl, up 49 cents/bbl. January BRENT: $107.97/bbl, up 95 cents/bbl
Futures traded in positive territory following the release of positive data from China which showed that its economy was rebounding after a slowdown. 

NAPHTHA: $938-940/tonne, up $16-17/tonne
Assessed values moved up on firmer crude numbers. January swaps were assessed at $919-921/tonne.

BENZENE: $1,445-1,475/tonne, up $5-25/tonne
December opened firmer this morning, notably on the offer side, with crude gains supporting the uptrend. January was in a slight contango at $1,450-1,480/tonne.

STYRENE: $1,550-1,585/tonne, up $20/tonne on the sell side
December offers moved up this morning as benzene looked bullish once again. Buyers had so far failed to follow. January was valued at $1,580-1,605/tonne.
