SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Hangzhou Longshan Chemical is planning to bring on stream its new 100,000 tonne /year soda ash plant in Zhengjiang in January 2013, a company source said on Monday.
The company completed the construction of the new plant in November but has not started it yet, the source said but did not explain the reason.
Hangzhou Longshan Chemical is operating a 200,000 tonne/year soda ash plant at 90% capacity at the same site, the source added.
The company’s soda ash capacity will reach a total of 300,000 tonne /year after the new plant is brought on line, the source said.
Hangzhou Longshan is a key soda ash manufacturer in Zhejiang province.
