SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Shanxi Coking has restarted its 200,000 tonne/year methanol unit at Linfen in Shanxi province on 10 December, a company source said on Monday.
The unit was shut on 24 November for maintenance due to technical woes. At present, there is little inventory for sale, the source added.
Methanol prices in Shanxi province were at CNY2,350-2,530/tonne ($377-406/tonne) EXW (ex-works) on Monday, unchanged from the prices on the previous Friday, according to Chemease, an ICIS service in China.
