HOUSTON (ICIS)--Here is Monday’s end of day Americas oil and chemical market summary from ICIS.

CRUDE: Jan WTI: $85.56/bbl, down 37 cents; Jan Brent: $107.33/bbl, up 31 cents
NYMEX WTI crude futures finished down for the fifth consecutive session, posting light losses on the day after a rally in response to upbeat energy demand data in China faded.

RBOB: Jan: $2.5981, up 0.07 cent/gal
Reformulated gasoline blendstock for oxygen blending (RBOB) prices were mostly steady despite weaker crude oil futures. During morning trading, gasoline futures seemed to correct last week’s nearly 13.00 cent/gal loss, but the gains retreated by the end of trading.

NATURAL GAS: Jan: $3.460/MMBtu, down 9.1 cents
The front month contract on the NYMEX natural gas market began this week in the same fashion it ended the last one, falling 2.5% through Monday trading to close at a one-month low as predictions of above average temperatures through December across high consumption regions continue to weaken near-term demand fundamentals.

ETHANE: lower at 22.75 cents/gal
Ethane spot prices fell to another all-time low as over supply and thinning demand help bring prices lower.

AROMATICS: toluene up at $4.45-4.60/gal, mixed xylene wider at $4.65-4.90/gal
US nitration-grade (n-grade) toluene prices for December were discussed higher on Monday. The toluene range was up from $4.40-4.50/gal FOB (free on board) from the previous session on the back of tight supplies. The tight supplies also supported higher offers in the mixed xylene (MX) spot market. MX bids were flat from the previous session at $4.65/gal, while offers were at $4.90/gal, which was up from $4.75/gal FOB on Friday.

OLEFINS: ethylene bid lower at 51.75 cents/lb, RGP bid steady at 49 cents/lb
US ethylene for December was bid lower at 51.75 cents/lb, compared with a deal done the previous Friday at 52.50 cents/lb. Refinery-grade propylene (RGP) for December was bid steady at 49 cents/lb with no fresh offers heard in the market.
