NOON SNAPSHOT – Europe Markets Summary

LONDON (ICIS)--Here is Tuesday’s midday European oil and chemical market summary from ICIS.

CRUDE: January WTI: $85.96/bbl, up 40 cents/bbl. January BRENT: $108.04/bbl, up 71 cents/bbl
Crude oil futures strengthened on Tuesday supported by continued unrest in the Middle East and a weaker US dollar.

NAPHTHA: $937-939/tonne, up $1/tonne
Assessed values inched higher on firmer crude numbers. January swaps were assessed at $925-927/tonne.

BENZENE: $1,455-1,475/tonne, offer up $10/tonne
European benzene spot deals were being concluded on a P&C basis, sources said. December benzene was offered high. January was valued at $1,465-1,485/tonne. 

STYRENE: $1,570-1,600/tonne, up $10-25/tonne
Europe styrene spot prices continued to gain ground on the back of the strength of benzene. December styrene was firmer as was January at $1,595-1,620/tonne.
