China November PE, PP imports estimated at 1.16m tonnes – traders

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China is estimated to have imported 1.16m tonnes of combined polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) in November, up by 8.4% from the previous month, local traders said on Tuesday.

Some 676,000 tonnes of PE and 487,000 tonnes of PP were brought into the country last month, they said.

Comparing the numbers with the official data for October imports, November PE imports increased by 5.2%, while PP imports were up by 14%, traders said.

China Customs' data on November imports will be released around 24 December.
