LONDON (ICIS)--Average European daily chlorine production in November rose by 8.4% from October, according to industry body Euro Chlor on Tuesday.

A consequence of October's low chlorine make was a 41,472-tonne reduction in co-product caustic soda stocks, said Euro Chlor.
Despite the November recovery for chlorine, caustic soda stocks at the end of November, at 219,184 tonnes, remained close to the all-time low set by October's revised figure of 213,986 tonnes, and was 47,374 tonnes below the November 2011 figure of 266,558 tonnes.
Euro Chlor’s year-on-year figures showed that average daily chlorine production in November was 5.2% higher than the year before.
Chlorine capacity utilisation stood at 77.7% in November, up from 71.7% in October, and 74.7% in November 2011.
