LONDON (ICIS)--Dow Epoxy, a business unit of Dow Chemical, has completed a 30,000 tonne/year expansion of its liquid epoxy resin (LER) capacity at its plant in Stade, Germany, the US-based company said on Tuesday.

Announced in May 2011, the expansion has increased the company’s global LER capacity by 10%, the company said. The Stade LER plant is now operating at its full production rates, Dow added.

“Our goal is to leverage and sell more epoxy resins and curing agents. Our strong integration is a powerful complement to our rapidly growing innovation portfolio which will enable us to drive value growth for our customers,” said Davor Safar of Dow Epoxy.

Dow added that it is focused on expanding its presence in the composites, electronics, civil engineering and coatings markets.
