MEDELLIN, Colombia (ICIS)--Lehigh Technologies is expanding its reach in Latin America through a distribution deal with specialty chemicals and logistics provider Andes Chemical, the US-based producer of micronised rubber powders (MRP) said on Tuesday.
The partnership will bolster the company’s ability to meet growing demand for its MRP, Lehigh said.
The announcement follows an agreement signed in September with Spanish waste-to-resource firm Hera Holding to produce MRP in ?xml:namespace>
“Geographic expansion is a key component of our growth strategy,” said Lehigh CEO Alan Barton.
Lehigh converts tires and post-industrial rubber into material that are incorporated into consumer and industrial plastics goods, asphalt and coatings.
