TOKYO (ICIS)--Japan's domestic shipments of foamed polystyrene (PS) sheet, or PS paper, increased by 0.2% to 8,580 tonnes in November year on year, according to industry data released on Wednesday.
Among the total, the country's shipments of PS paper for general use rose by 19% year on year to 1,430 tonnes, data from the Japan Polystyrene Foamed Sheet Industry Association (JASFA) show.
Shipments of PS paper for food trays fell by 6.4% to 3,500 tonnes in October from the previous year, while 3,270 tonnes of PS paper was used for laminated bowls, up by 0.9% according to the JASFA.
