NOON SNAPSHOT – Europe Markets Summary

LONDON (ICIS)--Here is Friday’s midday European oil and chemical market summary from ICIS.

CRUDE: January WTI: $86.65/bbl, up 76 cents/bbl. January BRENT: $108.45/bbl, up 54 cents/bbl
Prices eased back from earlier highs on the back of supportive Chinese economic data, while a weaker US dollar added further support.

NAPHTHA: $925-927/tonne, down $2/tonne
The cargo range edged down as a result of slightly lower crude oil prices. January swaps were assessed at $907-908/tonne.

BENZENE: $1,490-1,510/tonne, up $20-25/tonne
January was valued higher at $1,520-1,540/tonne. December was quiet and assessed firmer as bullish sentiment in both Asia and the US prevailed.

STYRENE: $1,580-1,600/tonne, up $10-20/tonne
Following deals on Thursday at $1,575/tonne and $1,580/tonne, the December range moved up.
