HOUSTON (ICIS)--Motiva Enterprises extinguished another fire at its Port Arthur refinery in Texas on Monday.

There were no injuries or environmental impacts expected, a spokeswoman said.

This was the second fire in less than a week at the crude distillation unit (CDU). Additionally, it was shut down in June due to corrosion issues.

Motiva was in the process of restarting the crude unit as part of the 325,000 bbl/day expansion project at the refinery and had expected it to be fully operational by early 2013.

A spokeswoman said the project is still on schedule.

Motiva is a joint venture by Saudi Aramco and Shell.
