SINGAPORE (ICIS)--PetroChina is expected to resume supplies of Group I base oils from its 40,000 tonne/year plant at Nanchong in Sichuan province, southwest China, on 20 December, a company source said on Tuesday.
The company restarted the plant on 17 December, earlier than the original plan of late December, the source said.
Feedstock supply to the plant has resumed as the maintenance at the upstream units have been wrapped up, the source added.
The resumption of production at Nanchong plant is expected to have limited impact on China’s overall market as the supply is mainly distributed in the southwest region, industry sources said.
