China May LLDPE futures unchanged after recent strong gains

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) futures were largely unchanged on Tuesday following strong gains in the previous two trading sessions, industry sources said.

May 2013 LLDPE futures, the most actively traded contract on the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE), closed at yuan (CNY) 10,600/tonne ($1,699/tonne), down by CNY5/tonne from Monday’s settlement price of CNY10,605/tonne.

Around 1.32m tonnes of LLDPE or 526,390 contracts for delivery in May 2013 were traded on Tuesday, according to the DCE data.
